TOP NEWS Introduction of TAN lists

Before today, your clients had only one option available to them for the authorization of transfers, like internal transfers and/or wire transfers, i.e. the submission of a static security key, which your clients were sent originally after registration to your online banking software. Due to frequent requests, your online banking software has now been extended by the use of TAN lists, which may be already familiar to you from most other major banks across the world.

For each client, you may create as many TAN lists as you wish. The transmission of TAN lists to your clients takes place either by eMail or by post (recommended), depending on your finance institution needs. In addition to the option to cancel/disable existing TAN lists for individual clients at any time, you are also provided with additional options to determine how many TANs you wish to have listed on each TAN list, for how long you wish each TAN list to be valid by setting an expiry date (default = 1 year) and how long and complex you wish the TANs to be.

The client area of your banking software has been extended by further features, which allow your client to

          (a) order new TAN lists at any time
          (b) receive a list of already used TANs online on screen
          (c) de-activate active TAN lists

The latter is notably meant for security reasons, e.g. in case a TAN became physically lost.

To maintain TAN lists per user please see the action list in ADMIN -> PROFILES -> VIEW/MODIFY.

TOP NEWS Introduction of mobileTANs

Complementary to the introduction of TAN lists as explained above, you may now also participate in the use of mobileTANs. Different from the TAN list method explained above, where each transaction authorization requests your clients to enter a TAN from a given printed TAN list; a mobile TAN is sent to your clients’ cell phone by SMS, at the time of submitting a transfer order. Upon receipt, your clients may enter the received mobile TAN within 3 minutes to authorize the transfer, whereby the standard period of 3 minutes is adjustable individually in the admin settings.

Security Key, TAN lists, mobileTANs – Summary

Referring to said above, it means that your clients now have 3 different options available to them to authorize a transaction order, whereby you may determine individually which of these 3 options you wish to place at your clients disposal:

       - Security Key
       - TAN list method
       - Mobile TANs

In cases where you offer/allow more than one of these 3 options, the choice will lie with your client as to which of them he wishes to make use of (free choice on screen) at the time of submitting a transaction order.

Quick lists for new client registrations and transaction orders

The receipt and handling of new client registrations and transaction orders have been drastically simplified.

Whereby previously, new client registrations and transaction orders have been submitted to your finance institution administrator by time-consuming “action messages”, you are now being provided with links to “Quick-Lists” on every screen within your banking software admin area. Said lists grant immediate access to all unconfirmed system registrations and transaction orders, coming complete with quick-action buttons to either execute/authorize or decline a new registration or transaction order.

Online Banking Login Data – Creation of printed client letters

Your banking software offers several options to submit online banking access data (such as login URLs, login names, passwords, etc) to your clients by eMail. At this point we should like to point out that we strongly advise against sending ANY such sensitive login data through eMail. Instead we strongly suggest that you send any kind of sensitive login data through written post only, for obvious security reasons.

To facilitate our recommendation of sending sensitive data through paper post only, we have introduced a new option to generate customized client letters, for login data by submission by post. This new option is located within your banking software modules VIEW PROFILE and MODIFY PROFILE. Said client letters are created as easily printable PDF files, containing your individual company logo, your finance institution address data, an individual welcome text and your banking software login URL, as well as all login data for the client selected.

In case you wish to modify the letter’s content, where for example you may wish to replace the individual welcome text, please make use of the LANGUAGE EDITOR in the admin TOOLS section.

Should your finance product/s include the use of TAN lists (see above), we advise that for security reasons, you send said TAN lists to your clients in a separate letter.

Faster Database Backups

The timescale for executing manual database backups has been cut drastically.

All database backups are no longer being executed live on your administrator's screen. Instead, when your administrator triggers a manual backup, the server receives an internal backup-order, which will start automatically within 60 minutes. As soon as a backup has finished, your administrator will receive a corresponding confirmation eMail.

This way all backups are being processed "silently and noteless" in the background. Your administrator may simply continue his work, as his administration interface will no longer be blocked during the process of manual database backups.

The update of your banking software will occur on October 10th, 2007.
